The Alternate Press Academic Book Policy

Many educational institutions use books published by The Alternate Press in their courses. Please direct all requests for free academic examination copies on school letterhead to the address below, along with $10 shipping and handling per book (plus GST/HST if you are located in Canada). 

Bulk orders should, where possible, be directed through your school bookstore. Our wholesale terms are as follows, with no exceptions:

• 1 to 4 books: 20% discount; 5 or more books: 40% discount
• no returns allowed
• shipping extra
• prepayment in full required. (Send us your purchase order, and we'll send you a pro-forma invoice, which can be paid by check or online with VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express)

Professors and teaching assistants may receive a free copy of any book adopted for course use. Include in your request the title, author, course title, expected enrollment, and a copy of your bookstore's purchase order. Please do not request a desk copy if you have already received an examination copy.

We also sell directly through libraries and library wholesalers, with all orders prepaid. Please contact at us the address below with your purchase order number, or send us an email request, and we'll be glad to send you a pro forma invoice.
